During the process, thin layers of composite resin is placed over the tooth and shaped. It also matched to the colour of the rest of your teeth. If you are hoping to whiten your overall smile, we would recommend professional teeth whitening first until you get the perfect shade and then matching the composite resin to your ideal colour.

Aftercare

Your dentist will go over the dos and don’ts following the procedure. You will be advised to avoid eating certain food and drink, which may stain the resin and smoking for a minimum of 48 hours.

You will also be advised to maintain your oral health through regular brushing, flossing and keeping up with regular check-ups. This will help keep your teeth stain-free for as long as possible.

Be careful what you bite! The dentist will advise you to be careful about chewing certain items as the composite bonds are not as strong as natural teeth. This means that they could chip more easily.
